One day, Guruji asked me to get the van ready to go to the farm and put the food for the people at the farm in it. He told me that we have to leave immediately and that we were getting late.
I immediately got the van ready and put the food in it and went to Guruji to tell Him that we can leave. He told me to wait for some time and started thinking something. After about ten minutes, I went up to Him again to tell Him that we can leave and that everything is ready. But again, He told me to wait and went back to His thoughts.
I was already being restless that Guruji had Himself told me that we are getting late, so now why aren’t we moving.
After about 45 minutes, Guruji came out and told me, let’s go immediately, it is time. We sat in the van, I was driving and Guruji was in the rear seat. We had hardly gone 100 meters, when we passed an elderly couple, walking on the street.
Guruji asked me to stop the car and go to them to ask them where they wanted to go. It was a surprise to me, because Guruji had never asked to do something like this before, but obediently and without asking any questions, I got out of the car and walked up to the couple. On asking they told me that they wanted to go to the bus stand.
“Let them sit in the car”, I heard Guruji’s voice and I immediately offered them to sit and the car so we could drop them to the bus stand.
They came in and sat with Guruji on the rear seat. Guruji asked them, why they had come here and who they wanted to meet. On His question, they replied that they had come to meet GURUJI, but could not meet Him somehow, and that they were going back now.
At this point, I could not control myself and blurted out to the couple that, “You are sitting with Guruji Himself right now”. On listening to this, the couple looked carefully at Guruji, fell to His feet and started crying.
Guruji immediately comforted them and told them not to worry AND that He had already done the work for which the couple had come. Then without their asking, He gave them some money to buy food and their bus ticket. I later came to know from the couple that their children had thrown them out of the house. They didn’t have money to buy food and had not eaten for a couple of days. They didn’t even have money to buy the bus tickets.
But Guruji……….He knew everything. He made things alright for them and He actually waited for 45 minutes before leaving even though He was in a hurry. It was then that I realized that Guruji was waiting for THEM. He was waiting for His BHAKTS to reach the place, where He had to meet them.
Jai Guru Dev Ji
