My husband is in a transferrable job and I am talking about a time when he was inKathmandu, the year was 1999. I had come toDelhiand was in Gurgaon Sthaan for seeking Blessings as it was Bada Veervar. By the time I had sought Blessings, and it was time to go back home, I realized that it was quite late in the evening. As I was driving back alone, I asked every one around if anyone wanted to accompany me. As no one was free to move, I left all by myself. By the time I reached the Cantt area, ( I had to reachRajouriGarden) it was very dark indeed. Some parts of that ruote are particularly badly lit. I reached one such patch where not only was the light very dim, but some road building work was also going on. The labourers had unwittingly left some big concrete blocks inconspicuously on the road, just beside the pavement…which were almost invisible due to the darkness on one side and the glare of lights from the other side of the road.
I was still in a state of bliss after seeking Blessings from Mataji…and was feeling so strongly connected to Guruji… In short, I was totally in His thoughts. I don’t mean to suggest that I wasn’t driving carefully, but still, somehow, my car hit one of the concrete blocks on the road and the car swerved and hit the pavement. The impact was so great, that due to the collision my car upturned and turned around two times. I was not even wearing a seat belt, so obviously, my head hit the roof each time the car rolled over. And, even though the car was turning, an unbelievably strong energy came and enveloped me. I felt as if a very thick and velvety cushion was shielding me from all around. By the time the motion subsided and the car was finally still, it looked like a total wreck. Naturally, a number of passers-by gathered and I overheard some of them saying..’.is anyone alive?’ Anyone who saw the collision and the state of the car found it hard to believe that there was a survivor inside. And when I opened the door of the car, many asked whether I was okay. At that time, I wondered why they were asking me that question. I just came out, brushed my dress and inspected the car. I just said…please check whether I can drive the car back. I actually saw their jaw drop in surprise. They must have thought that I had lost my mind because of the shock of the accident. But that was not the case. Infact, I was feeling more worried about how I would get back home at that late hour. It was only when one very considerate person offered me his mobile phone to ask me if I would like to make a call home that I realized what I had possibly escaped. I had come out of this totally UNSCRATCHED. Not even a drop of blood…no broken bones….no internal injuries…..Infact, not even a state of shock. Such was the case of protection of the Supreme One….Shat shat pranaam GURUDEV for Blessing and protecting me.
