Gurudev was most engrossing in His Human Form. Being in the Soil survey department of the Ministry of agriculture, He used to hold camps in various places of India for the survey of soil. One such place where His Camp was once set up was – Renuka (Himachal Pradesh).
Renuka is a remote place in Himachal Pradesh with a population that would hardly count to a Thousand people. There was no proper means of transportation either.
I used to visit Gurudev’s camp regularly alongwith other “shishyas” of Gurudev. I had been to His camp about Four times already and was going again alongwith Sh.R.P. Sharma Ji, Sh. F.C. Sharma Ji and Sh. Raj Paul Ji. We were going in Raj Paul Ji’s car as usual.
When we reached there, Gurudev told us that in the coming days there will be a thick line of people more than Two and a half mile long, and so we should stay back for “Sewa”. It was a real surprise for us because we hardly ever saw a “fly” in Renuka leave alone so many people, but Gurudev told us that – “Jahan Tak Meri awaaz ja rahi hai in Paharon ke peechhe, wahan se log aayenge !” (I have Called the people and till the last mountain, where my voice can travel, people know I am here and they will come.)
Finally, a day came for the “Sewa”. Believe me, there was an ocean of people. Including me, there were Eleven “Shishyas” of Gurudev who were sitting in the open and performing “Sewa” as per Gurudev’s instructions. Gurudev Hiself, was sitting in a room. One by one, we used to go inside the room and stay with Gurudev till we were asked to go and send somebody else.
When I was standing with Guruji, a man came, carrying his wife on his back and he put her down on the floor – her legs crooked and stiff and it was difficult for her, even to sit. She would move like a ball on the floor. Guruji looked at the woman and then He looked at me. With my face and eye expressions, I requsted Guruji to take pity on her.
Thereafter, Guruji loudly told me, “Catch her from the web of her feet, in between the thumb and first finger”. Guruji Himself caught her from the collar bones and ordered me to drag her, from the web of her feet.
To my surprise, with a cracking voice, she got straight and alright. A lady who had come on her husband’s back, went on foot, crying with joy from Guruji’s room.
