Gurudev had a strong belief in providing selfless and pure service to the people. He had a personal dislike for having his photographs taken by anyone. In fact, some individuals had attempted to capture his image without his express permission, but each time they attempted to do so, the film reel resulted in a blank, unexposed state. Despite this, Gurudev’s followers persisted in their requests for him to permit them to take his pictures.
After some time, and due to the constant persuasion of his disciples, Gurudev relented and gave his blessing for them to take his photographs. His followers were eager to capture him in all of his various moods and expressions.
